Senior GIS Analyst

Job Summary

Working in a full-time capacity from any Canadian office or remotely, the Senior GIS Analyst will assist multiple projects by creating and editing spatial data, maintaining geospatial databases, and supporting field activities as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Creating and editing spatial data and mapping products while performing junior level geospatial analyses
• Generating, editing, and maintaining relational geospatial databases
• Assisting in updating and maintaining mapping standards and work processes

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related discipline or technical diploma
• 8+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software suite and extensions, as well as ESRI ArcPro
• Working knowledge of GIS programming using technologies such as Python, Arcade, R, JavaScript, C#, and SQL
• Understanding of geographic and projected coordinate systems and transformations
