Senior GIS Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of geospatial data solutions, the full-time Senior GIS Engineer will design and implement complex geospatial data pipelines and services while working remotely across various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently design and implement geospatial data pipelines and matching services with built-in testing and monitoring
- Collaborate with product and business teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and contribute to shared capabilities
- Lead medium projects, coach less experienced engineers, and communicate complex concepts effectively to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Geography/GIS, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full stack expertise in frontend (React, modern JavaScript) and backend (C#, .NET)
- Hands-on experience with GIS data processing, geocoding frameworks, and spatial databases
- Experience in defining data contracts and integration patterns across platforms, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD setup
