Senior GL Accountant
Job Summary
Supporting day-to-day accounting operations, the remote Senior GL Accountant will manage general ledger maintenance, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end close activities while collaborating closely with the finance team.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for management and private equity sponsors
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a private equity portfolio company
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems preferred
- Experience preparing commission statements and handling accruals and reconciliations
