Senior GL Accountant (HGB)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior GL Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for the German entity and one additional entity, including complex journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare HGB statutory financial statements and support both IFRS and local statutory audits
• Maintain the close calendar and improve accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in GL accounting and month-end close activities
• Experience preparing German local GAAP (HGB) financial statements and supporting statutory audits
• Professional fluency in German and English
• Practical experience with IFRS reporting packages and a strong control mindset
• Strong systems proficiency with ERP (NetSuite preferred) and close tooling (FloQast preferred)
