Job Summary
Leading complex research initiatives, the full-time Senior Global Health Economist will design innovative analytical frameworks, guide client strategy, and contribute to thought leadership in economics and public policy while working remotely or from various U.S. office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a bridge between data scientists, economists, and domain experts to ensure analytical approaches are methodologically rigorous and relevant to global health challenges
- Design and implement quantitative analyses focused on predictive analytics, geospatial analyses, and causal design to address global health issues in low- and middle-income countries
- Translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders while mentoring junior researchers and managing multidisciplinary project teams
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, Global Health, or a related field, or a Master's degree with at least five years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting quantitative research in policy-relevant domains
- Extensive experience with Python and R, along with a working knowledge of Stata
- Proven track record in designing and executing data analytics tools, including forecasting and geospatial analyses
- Prior research experience in development economics, health economics, or international development
