Senior GNC Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior GNC Engineer, the full-time position offers the opportunity to design and implement attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams, either onsite in San Jose, CA, or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment
• Define requirements for ACS algorithms, hardware, and related systems, including roadmap development
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific performance and support anomaly resolution of on-orbit systems

Required qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years of professional experience, or significant hands-on experience with GNC analysis and design
• Proficient in C++ with knowledge of control and optimization theory
• Experience with LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors, including reaction wheels and star trackers
• Expertise in numerical programming environments such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB
• Experience designing and implementing ADCS/GNC subsystems for spacecraft
