Senior GNC Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior GNC Engineer for a contract position focused on developing satellite Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems, working remotely while managing the full lifecycle of development from requirements definition to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC systems for new spacecraft, including sensors, actuators, algorithms, and flight software
• Support the development of subsystem requirements and ensure maximum reuse of existing Airbus heritage products
• Perform GNC system engineering activities to maintain and evolve Airbus spacecraft products while promoting cost-saving measures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related scientific areas; Master's preferred
• 8+ years of experience in GNC system analysis, design, and verification on spacecraft (6+ years with a Master's)
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and STK for modeling and simulation
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML/UML) and software development processes
• US Citizenship is required
