Senior Go Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a cross-functional development team, the full-time Senior Go Engineer will be responsible for writing clean Go code, acting as a technical liaison to point-of-sale partners, and promoting a culture of transparency and collaboration in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold code quality and system reliability through clean coding practices and participation in code reviews
• Serve as the technical point of contact for POS partners, communicating integration requirements and troubleshooting issues
• Champion a culture of transparency by sharing work progress and challenges through documentation and team communication platforms

Required qualifications

• Proven commercial experience with Go, writing maintainable and idiomatic code
• Strong understanding of microservice architectures and experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience in designing and integrating APIs, particularly for third-party services
• Familiarity with eXtreme Programming practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and pair programming
• Excellent technical communication skills for explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
