Senior GPU Performance Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff - Algorithm & Performance Optimization - GPU Libraries.

Key Responsibilities

• Critically review and improve kernel algorithms for performance gains across AMD GPU architectures
• Design explainable heuristic models for kernel selection and workload mapping
• Execute large-scale kernel benchmarking campaigns and analyze performance data

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience with C++ and relevant applied experience using CUDA, HIP, OpenMP, MPI, or OpenCL
• Proven experience with kernel performance tuning and understanding of hardware-level performance
• Familiarity with GPU kernel libraries such as Composable Kernel (CK) and MIOpen
• Applied experience using AI-assisted coding tools in software engineering workflows
• Advanced degrees (M.Sc./M.Eng. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields
