Senior Grant Financial Specialist

Job Summary

Overseeing the financial management and compliance of complex grants, the remote Senior Grant Financial Specialist will manage budgets, ensure timely financial reporting, and collaborate with global program stakeholders while providing training and support to other finance team members.

Key responsibilities

• Develop budgets and budget narratives for government and multilateral donor-funded projects, ensuring accurate financial planning
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors and stakeholders, maintaining systems to track expenditures and compliance
• Monitor donor-funded projects for financial discrepancies and compliance issues, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure adherence to regulations

Required qualifications

• Experience in financial management of government and institutional grants
• Knowledge of U.S. government regulations, including CFR, FAR, and OMB Circulars
• Proven ability to develop and implement financial management tools and resources
• Experience in training and coaching finance staff
• Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements and reporting standards
