Job Summary
To enhance grassroots advocacy for immigrants and refugees, the Senior Grassroots Organizer will manage a portfolio of 3-4 priority states in a hybrid or remote capacity, developing state-specific strategies, cultivating partnerships, and mobilizing community support for advocacy campaigns aligned with national policy priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage grassroots advocacy strategies for assigned states, ensuring alignment with national priorities and grant outcomes
- Identify and translate state and local policy opportunities into actionable grassroots campaign strategies
- Build and sustain partnerships with diverse community institutions and advocacy networks to expand organizational impact
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in grassroots organizing, advocacy campaigns, or coalition-building
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement advocacy strategies with clear goals and partner engagement plans
- Experience building relationships with advocacy coalitions and community leaders, particularly within Jewish communities
- Strong understanding of immigration and refugee policy issues preferred
