Senior Guidance Navigation Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and development of advanced GNC systems for spacecraft applications, the full-time Senior Guidance Navigation Engineer will architect integrated GNC designs, implement guidance and control algorithms, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced guidance and control algorithms, including optimal control and autonomous navigation techniques
• Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasking and manage program execution plans while supporting proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Conduct testing and verification of GNC subsystem performance through Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred with 6+ years of experience
• 8+ years of experience in GNC algorithm design, subsystem integration, and spacecraft development
• Familiarity with advanced guidance and control algorithms using LIDAR, vision, GPS, and RGPS techniques
• Experience in developing complex GNC mode managers for spacecraft flight phases
• Proficiency in STK, JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project
