Senior Hadoop Developer
Job Summary
To support data management initiatives, the full-time Senior Hadoop Developer will design, develop, and operate systems for large data volumes, while working remotely and engaging in coding, unit testing, and system documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Write and enhance code for moderately complex system designs and APIs
- Perform unit testing and debugging, ensuring quality control throughout the development life cycle
- Consult with cross-functional teams to scope and estimate programming projects and document system specifications
Required qualifications
- 5-8 years of IT development/programming experience in a Hadoop environment
- Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Scala, and Kafka development
- Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and data warehousing
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and unit testing procedures
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
