Senior Health Tax Policy Advisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Advisor, Health Tax Policy and Implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and quality assurance for health tax work, focusing on implementation and oversight in Zambia
• Lead economic modeling and analytical work to inform health tax policies and communicate findings to various stakeholders
• Support fundraising efforts, represent the organization externally, and oversee new country engagements related to health taxes

Required Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of professional experience in tax policy, public finance, or health policy
• Substantial experience in tax design, implementation, and administration
• Proven experience working on health taxes such as tobacco, alcohol, or unhealthy foods
• Experience in low- and middle-income countries, including engagement with government counterparts
• Advanced degree in law, public policy, economics, public finance, or a related field strongly preferred
