Senior Healthcare Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of a FHIR-based health data management platform, the full-time Senior Healthcare Data Engineer will manage end-to-end healthcare data processes, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery, while utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and maintain data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines that ensure standards-conformant FHIR delivery, including data enrichment and de-duplication
• Ingest new data sources and debug workflows to stabilize data connections for downstream users
• Optimize production processes by improving job resilience and performance while ensuring compliance with PHI safety standards

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, health IT, or healthcare interoperability
• Proven track record of managing data pipelines from ingestion to production
• Experience with distributed data engineering tools, including Apache Spark and Databricks
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in FHIR standards
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for coding and data processing efficiently
