Senior High Voltage Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Protection & Controls Engineer to lead the design and delivery of protection, control, and communication systems for renewable energy and high-voltage substation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the protection and controls engineering scope for complex renewable energy and substation projects
• Oversee preparation and quality review of electrical design drawings and perform power system modeling and relay coordination studies
• Represent the protection and controls discipline in project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams for integrated design delivery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
• 8+ years of relevant experience in power delivery, transmission, or substation engineering with a focus on protection and controls design
• Advanced proficiency with engineering and modeling software tools such as ETAP, ASPEN OneLiner, and SEL AcSELerator
• Strong working knowledge of IEC 61850 communication protocols and substation automation systems
• Demonstrated ability to independently interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate engineering assignments
