Senior HIPAA Compliance Analyst

Job Summary

To enhance HIPAA-related security and compliance programs, the full-time remote Senior HIPAA Compliance Analyst will manage multiple workstreams, translate legal requirements into operational controls, and ensure secure handling of regulated data across various environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HIPAA security compliance workstreams across products and engineering teams
• Perform HIPAA readiness assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments
• Maintain documentation for the HIPAA security program and support audits and compliance evidence collection

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security compliance, GRC, or related information security roles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with HIPAA programs in a technology or regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule requirements and practical application in cloud and engineering settings
• Experience with frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53
• Technical fluency in cloud architecture, APIs, and security monitoring concepts
