Senior Hospitalist Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Hospitalist Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with training and education for coding department staff and new trainees
• Provide feedback on trainees' work, ensuring understanding of coding policies and procedures
• Monitor and support trainees in their coding duties and access to necessary systems

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT procedural coding
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and physician billing regulations
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in physician coding and billing
• RHIT, CPC, and/or CCS-P certification or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of previous medical coding experience, preferably in acute care coding
