Senior Hospitalist Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Hospitalist Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with training and education for coding department staff and new trainees
• Provide feedback and guidance to trainees on their completed work and coding duties
• Monitor trainee progress and maintain training documentation and reports

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT procedural coding
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and physician billing regulations
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in physician coding
• RHIT, CPC and/or CCS-P certification or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of previous medical coding experience, preferably in acute care coding
