Job Summary
Providing expert retirement and benefits counseling, the full-time Senior HR Specialist - MD Licensed will manage complex cases involving Federal retirement programs and conduct retirement planning seminars while working onsite in Silver Spring, MD.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Federal retirement and benefits counseling, including complex cases involving FERS, CSRS, and FEHB
- Conduct retirement planning seminars and coordinate new employee orientations on benefits and working conditions
- Audit Official Personnel Folders (OPFs) to identify and resolve retirement and benefits issues
Required qualifications
- Experience counseling and processing Federal employee retirement and benefits actions, including FERS/CSRS and TSP
- Strong knowledge of Federal retirement regulations and benefits programs
- Experience conducting audits of Official Personnel Folders (OPFs) for retirement-related issues
- Ability to provide expert one-on-one counseling to employees at all levels
- Experience coordinating Federal Benefits Open Season activities
