Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Human Factors Researcher, preferably located in Austin, TX, who will apply human factors expertise to design and lead research studies that enhance healthcare technology, collaborating with clinicians and product teams to ensure usability and safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct quantitative and qualitative research to inform product strategy and design, ensuring alignment with user needs and regulatory standards
- Lead investigations into complex interactions across clinical roles and care settings, advocating for end-user requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
- Produce and present compelling research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in product usability and safety
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Ergonomics, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in user research, particularly in safety-critical or regulated industries, with a preference for healthcare software
- Strong foundation in research methods, human factors principles, and usability best practices
- Proven ability to synthesize research insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences
- Proactive multitasker capable of managing multiple projects under time constraints
