Senior IBM i Systems Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior IBM i Systems Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remediation of server incidents, service restoration, and overseeing incident and request queues
- Reducing repeating incidents, handling technical infrastructure projects, and collaborating with various groups
- Installing operating system patches, maintaining server hardware and software environments, and possessing an understanding of network design
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years' experience in IBM i, iSeries, AS/400 System Administration
- Demonstrated experience in various IBM systems hardware and software configurations and support
- Experience with data replication, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work in a teaming environment
- Ability to coach others, manage scheduling, and facilitate major incident calls with support teams and client representatives
