Senior IBM Netcool Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior IBM Netcool/Omnibus Engineer for a remote contract position, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IBM Netcool/Omnibus infrastructure while managing Linux systems and integrating automation solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain IBM Netcool/Omnibus infrastructure for enterprise-wide event management
• Administer Linux systems and manage Oracle database tasks related to Netcool
• Develop automation workflows and integrations with third-party monitoring and ITSM platforms

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with IBM Netcool/Omnibus (ObjectServer, Probes, Gateways)
• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience (RHEL)
• Working knowledge of Oracle database administration and SQL queries
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
• Solid understanding of event management best practices and ITIL principles
