Senior Image Processing Engineer

Job Summary

The full-time Senior Image Processing Engineer will develop and implement scalable image processing solutions for medical imaging, focusing on data classification algorithms, feature extraction, and enhancing software for augmented and virtual reality experiences, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement image processing systems, ensuring compliance with DICOM standards
• Develop and verify algorithms for compression, segmentation, and contour detection in medical imaging
• Mentor junior developers and drive the development of new features while maintaining patient data privacy and security

Required qualifications

• 5 years of experience in developing and integrating complex imaging systems or medical image diagnosis software
• Proficiency in C# and/or C++ programming languages
• 3 years of experience with DICOM development and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of DICOM standards and experience with tools like dcm4che or Orthanc
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field; an M.S. or Ph.D. is a plus
