Senior Incident Commander

Job Summary

To support customer-facing cloud services, the full-time Senior Incident Commander will manage high-severity incident triage, facilitate cross-functional engagement for timely resolutions, and drive post-incident analyses while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an Incident Commander to facilitate high-severity incident triage and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Drive the use of incident metrics and perform analyses to gain insights into service performance and emerging issues
• Run regular Incident Review meetings with cross-functional teams and oversee Cloud Service Operation Centre engineer performance

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a high availability operations environment providing front-line support for public-facing services
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technology field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience leading processes for high availability production environments
• Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services infrastructure services and related technologies
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for the Incident Commander role, including off-hours and weekends
