Senior Incident Response Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Incident Response Consultant to remotely lead forensic investigations and support clients through rebuild and recovery efforts, leveraging expertise in systems or network administration while collaborating closely with client IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations across hosts, networks, and applications while triaging active security events
• Develop custom scripts and methodologies to enhance incident response processes and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
• Provide actionable guidance to clients for containing ongoing attacks and assist in the full incident response lifecycle

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in forensic and incident response roles
• Strong background in systems or network administration, including Active Directory
• Hands-on experience with EDR platforms and forensic toolsets
• Experience responding to ransomware or complex security incidents
• Preferred certifications include GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or equivalent credentials
