Senior Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and enhancing the SIEM platform, the full-time Senior Information Security Engineer will drive critical security initiatives across cloud, data protection, and threat detection in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize the SIEM platform by building detection rules, alerts, and improving system visibility
• Support the SOC team with escalated investigations and incident response through data analysis and technical insights
• Identify gaps in security monitoring and implement improvements to enhance detection capabilities

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, or IT Security
• Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Sumo Logic, Splunk)
• Experience in building queries, alerts, and dashboards
• Background in systems administration or IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
