Senior Information Security Officer

Job Summary

Collaborating with university stakeholders, the full-time remote Senior Information Security Officer (ITS) will coordinate cybersecurity requirements, develop training programs, and manage relationships to enhance security compliance and awareness across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity standards and procedures for various departments
• Conduct regular risk assessments and manage incident responses to security events and data breaches
• Oversee training programs to promote adherence to cybersecurity protocols among staff

Required qualifications

• 6 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, and leadership roles
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity trends, risks, and best practices
• Proficiency in information technology infrastructure and cybersecurity tools
• Experience with security audits and compliance with industry standards
