Senior Information Systems Security Officer

Job Summary

Leading the execution of the full RMF lifecycle, the remote Senior Information Systems Security Officer will manage security assessment activities, ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, and maintain 100% Authority to Operate (ATO) status across all information systems and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the application of cybersecurity policies and develop operational programs to ensure adherence
• Conduct remediation actions based on inspection findings and provide status reports to clients and stakeholders
• Lead security assessments and audits to maintain compliance and ensure 100% ATO status

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent verifiable work experience
• Six years of progressive experience in information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or ISSO/ISSM roles
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a background investigation
• Expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST security controls
• Demonstrated experience in authoring enterprise-level documentation, including Contingency Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans
