Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

As the designated backup for the primary infrastructure lead, the full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineer will ensure uninterrupted operation of on-premises data center and network environments while managing server infrastructure, networking operations, and documentation to support clinical laboratory systems in a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the backup for the primary infrastructure lead, assuming operational control during absences and emergencies to ensure zero service interruption
• Administer and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance monitoring to sustain 99.9%+ uptime
• Manage LAN/WAN networking operations, including switches, routers, and firewalls, while building and improving runbooks and disaster recovery documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent technical training and experience
• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise IT infrastructure engineering experience in a complex, predominantly on-premises environment
• Deep expertise in physical and virtual server administration, including Windows Server and Linux
• Strong networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and firewall policy management
• Experience managing physical data center environments, including rack/stack and structured cabling
