Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

To support a state government agency's transition to a modern cloud platform, the full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineer will design and manage the agency's cloud environment, ensuring secure connections to on-premises systems while implementing infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the cloud environment, including Dev, Test, Staging, and Production setups using Terraform or OpenTofu
• Implement and manage secure connections between cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring encrypted and reliable data flow
• Develop CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for safe deployments and maintain the security posture of the cloud infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience building and managing Azure or comparable cloud environments
• Proven experience with Azure networking, Active Directory, and role-based access management
• Experience provisioning infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu
• Familiarity with Docker, encryption practices, and firewall configurations across cloud and on-premises boundaries
• Demonstrated experience in security and authorization processes, including creating System Security Plans
