Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the remote contract Senior Infrastructure Engineer will build and scale critical infrastructure, own reliability during incidents, and automate monitoring systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and evolve highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure for distributed systems
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis to strengthen system reliability
- Develop intelligent monitoring and automated healing systems to minimize downtime
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in Infrastructure or SRE roles supporting complex, large-scale production environments
- Deep AWS experience and strong hands-on expertise with Terraform and infrastructure as code
- Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and cloud-native architecture
- Proficient in using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages for automation
- Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system health
