Senior Ingestion Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance user experiences, the full-time remote Senior Ingestion Engineer will implement end-to-end features, advocate for best practices, and provide technical leadership while working with a diverse team on a data ETL pipeline using technologies such as Python, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a full-cycle data ETL pipeline for the Ingestion team
• Collaborate with product teams to ideate, develop, and deploy new features
• Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers while ensuring code quality and best practices

Required qualifications

• 5 or more years of industry experience as a software engineer with proficiency in Python
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL)
• Experience with distributed systems such as Apache Kafka and Apache Spark is a plus
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and collaborate with other technical teams
• Familiarity with AI coding assistance tools is a plus
