Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead routine and targeted coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Provide education and coaching to staff based on audit results and performance needs
• Manage claim edit work queues and collaborate with leadership on performance improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Five (5) or more years of combined medical coding experience required
• At least three (3) years in technical coding
• Associates' degree required (Health Information Technology preferred)
• One (1) AHIMA certification required (RHIT, RHIA, or CCS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of DRGs, APCs, and APGs
