Senior Inpatient Coder (MN Licensed)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Facility Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services in accordance with coding guidelines
• Abstract additional data elements during the chart review process as needed
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and maintain coding knowledge through ongoing education

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• 3+ years of experience in Acute Care Inpatient medical coding
• 2+ years of experience in a Level I trauma center or teaching hospital
• 2+ years of ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
