Senior Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Facility Certified Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Codes for inpatient services and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Abstract data during the Chart Review process and provide feedback to providers
• Maintain coding knowledge and participate in departmental meetings and educational events

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• 3+ years of Acute Care inpatient medical coding experience
• 2+ years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or teaching hospital
• 2+ years of ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
