Senior iOS C++ Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software / Systems Engineer iOS / C++ (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the OpenVPN 3 tunnel adapter for an iOS VPN application
• Cross-compile OpenVPN 3 and its dependencies for iOS arm64 and implement the TunBuilder interface
• Optimize memory usage and ensure thread safety within the Network Extension sandbox environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17) and experience with templates and concurrency primitives
• Experience shipping at least one iOS framework, library, or app that integrates a C++ codebase
• Familiarity with Objective-C++ and the Xcode build system
• Debugging experience in constrained environments such as iOS app extensions or embedded systems
• Understanding of Apple's Automatic Reference Counting (ARC) and its interaction with C++ object lifetimes
