Senior iOS Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on building and optimizing a high-quality video playback experience, the remote Senior iOS Software Engineer will design and maintain an iOS video player SDK, develop scalable playback architecture, and troubleshoot complex playback issues.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain an iOS video player SDK using Swift and Apple media frameworks
• Develop scalable playback architecture that supports reliable cross-platform streaming experiences
• Partner with engineering, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality releases and provide technical guidance

Required qualifications:

• Strong experience in iOS development with deep proficiency in Swift and Apple frameworks, including AVFoundation and AVPlayer
• Hands-on expertise with HLS streaming, DRM/FairPlay, and video playback optimization
• Solid understanding of streaming protocols, playback performance, and debugging issues such as buffering and bitrate adaptation
• Experience building scalable, maintainable systems and contributing to shared SDKs or platform components
