Senior ISSO Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior ISSO Security Analyst will coordinate and drive the completion of Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, ensure operational security for information systems, and provide security expertise to support Veterans Affairs (VA) projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute RMF steps 0-6 ATO activities, ensuring compliance with VA authorization policies
• Develop and maintain detailed security documentation for various IT systems and networks throughout their lifecycle
• Translate security concepts into actionable recommendations for clients, facilitating informed security decisions

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or 20+ years of experience in information technology in lieu of a degree
• 10+ years of experience supporting all RMF steps and creating/updating security artifacts and FISMA security documents
• Proficiency with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and system authorizations
• Experience leading client-facing meetings and presenting complex ATO topics
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
