Senior IT Operations Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure the integrity and performance of technical architecture, the full-time Senior IT Operations Center Engineer will plan, install, monitor, and maintain infrastructure software and hardware while providing technical support and recommending new system products in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for optimal availability and performance
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and application software while ensuring security and backup strategies
• Provide second and third-level technical support, troubleshoot network issues, and liaise with vendors for problem resolution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in a hosting environment
• Five years of related work experience, including expertise in Linux operating systems and cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Experience with monitoring systems and automation software, as well as scripting skills in languages such as shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, or Python
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS infrastructure and backup systems, with familiarity in networking concepts like OSI layers and TCP/IP
• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex logical problems in computing systems
