Senior IT Systems Administrator
Job Summary
Leading cloud engineering initiatives, the contract Senior IT Systems Administrator will manage and optimize Azure and Oracle Cloud infrastructure remotely, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security while developing automation tools and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the management of public cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual tasks
- Implement cloud security best practices and monitor security tools to enhance the security posture
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, preferably in Azure and/or Oracle Cloud
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect) are a plus
