Senior Java Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Java / Batch Modernization Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and migrate existing WebSphere Batch jobs to JBatch on Open Liberty, optimizing performance and reliability
• Design and implement end services using Java, Spring, and RESTful principles, integrating batch jobs with modern APIs
• Review and refactor SQL and batch logic for optimization, ensuring stability across various environments

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level Java (21) and proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience with REST API development and SQL optimization
• Knowledge of WebSphere Batch internals and Open Liberty + JBatch implementation
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and build systems (Maven/Gradle)
• Experience in modernizing legacy systems, particularly in a government or public sector context is preferred
