Senior Java Developer

Job Summary

To support a large financial services client, the fully remote Senior Java Application Developer will design and build scalable applications, enhance core banking platform integrations, and contribute to microservices and API development on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize robust software solutions using Java/J2EE and modern frameworks
• Build and enhance APIs and microservices using REST and SOAP architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software/application development
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, XML, OpenAPI, Maven, and ANT
• Proven experience building APIs, web services, and microservices (REST/SOAP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
