Senior Java Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Java Developer will design, develop, and enhance enterprise retail technology platforms, focusing on building scalable backend services and integrating with external systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs
- Build and support microservices-based architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new platform capabilities and technology enhancements
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally with Java 17
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, including Spring Cloud and microservices
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong GCP experience, including GKE, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub
- Hands-on AI development experience using tools such as Claude and Gemini
