Senior Java Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Java Engineer will build, deploy, and maintain next-generation client-facing Restful APIs, focusing on registration, consent management, payments, and information reporting applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new API and technical solutions to meet user needs regarding functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Oversee proactive maintenance of existing API applications to ensure stability and scalability of mission-critical systems
• Coordinate troubleshooting of code defects, data errors, and configuration problems to identify the origin of application errors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience
• Strong design and development experience with Java 11+, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks
• Experience with REST and APIs, as well as security protocols like SAML2.0 and OAuth2.0
• Knowledge of git, unit testing, and mocking frameworks
• Experience with container architecture using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
