Senior Java Engineer

Job Summary

Driving innovation in a remote full-time capacity, the Senior Java Engineer will lead the development and integration of modern applications and systems, focusing on enhancing Group Financial Systems and facilitating technological advancements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development, testing, and integration of applications that support business growth initiatives
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions and develop high-performance applications and APIs
• Continuously assess and optimize applications for performance and scalability while collaborating with team members and external vendors

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy, including RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with event-driven architecture, particularly using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services, especially with containerized microservices
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms using MuleSoft or similar technologies
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other enterprise databases
