Senior Java Engineer
Job Summary
Driving innovation in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Java Engineer will lead the development, testing, and integration of modern applications and systems to support the Group Insurance line of business growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and integration of applications that enhance business growth initiatives
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions to develop high-performance applications, APIs, and data solutions
- Continuously assess and optimize applications for performance and scalability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Experience with AWS cloud services and containerized microservices
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, particularly Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms using MuleSoft or similar technologies
