Job Summary

Senior Java Software Engineer, a full-time position responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable Java-based backend services for background screening and compliance platforms while mentoring other engineers and collaborating in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable Java-based backend services
• Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions focused on reliability and performance
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while participating in code reviews and system design discussions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of professional experience developing backend applications in Java
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and system design best practices
• Hands-on experience building and consuming web services (REST; SOAP a plus)
• Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
