Job Summary
To modernize and migrate a platform for an energy sector client, the full-time Senior Java Software Engineer will engage in hands-on development using Java and Spring Boot while adopting AI tools in the software development lifecycle, working remotely from the US or Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and modernize backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and navigate project ambiguities
- Integrate AI tooling into the software development lifecycle effectively
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in Spring Boot and/or JBoss
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in AI tooling for software development
- Consultative approach with the ability to influence change
- Availability to start by September 8th, 2026, and work standard Eastern Time hours
