Senior Kubernetes Administrator
Job Summary
Serving as the technical lead for the Brain Team, the full-time Senior Kubernetes Administrator will manage the engineering, operation, reliability, scalability, security, and automation of an enterprise Kubernetes platform on Amazon EKS in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in Kubernetes architecture, networking, and platform engineering while mentoring other engineers
- Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, including node lifecycle management and autoscaling
- Lead Kubernetes networking initiatives using Cilium and Istio, and drive platform automation through GitOps and Infrastructure as Code
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience, with 5+ years administering production Kubernetes environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes architecture, and Linux administration
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking with practical experience using Cilium and Istio
- Experience with Terraform and AWS cloud infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code
- Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams
